  • overreact?
  • What's sitting and talking close? Was he whispering sweet nothings in her ear? Was he sticking his tongue in her ear? What exactly was he doing for you to confront him about talking to his little sister's friend? What did he say when you confronted him? I can't wrap my head around why you would want to break up with a guy who was talking to his sister's friend.
  • Since when is sitting and talking with someone a capital offense?
  • But you don't understand...We live together and have been a little rocky lately. They were talking way to closely, with his arm over the back of the couch (somewhat around her). I confronted him, we talked about it, we hugged, made up, made the decision not to break up in light of all that has been going on lately. He told me he would be right back, then he goes down stairs and I hear him say to the girl "the only thing (mygirlfriend) she does is nag, nag, nag". Of course I was hurt. 15 minutes later when he still does not return to bed (it was 4:30am) I look outside and see them sitting together (as if they were boyfriend and girlfriend) with her hand on his arm, them again enthralled in conversation. As soon as I went downstairs again, and he saw me, he jumped up and claimed to be cleaning. This hurt me a lot, he claims he was just drunk, and was just talking to her, but it looked innapropriate from my point of view. the devil is in the details...what do you think now?
  • What is there in common with a 30 year old man and an 18 year old girl? The guy is almost old enough to be her father. I'd keep an eye out.
  • Surely sitting talking is not a crime. If you overeact in such an obsessive way I can understand why you are having problems. Being part of a couple does not mean that the rest of the world has to cease to exist. if he has not given you reason for this lack of trust I see no problem in him talking to a girl.
  • What does you "women's intuition" tell you to do? I think it's crystal clear what you should do but ultimately it's what your intuition is telling you.
  • Sounds like you want to break up. if he was drunk, and lying back on the couch, he was not necessarily putting the moves on this girl, but you need to tell him to be careful, she might take it that way, and have a horny teenager on his hands. talk with the girl and find out what she thinks about the situation. don't go off half cocked, and ruin a relationship because of what you perceived.
  • sitting and talking? geez, give the guy a little room to breathe.
