Plants are green because they have chlorophyll in them and chlorophyll is green. There are some plants that aren't green, or aren't entirely green (flowers, for instance, can be many colors).

If they were yellow or pink from the start, you wouldn't think it's weird. You'd ask this question with yellow/pink switched with green.

What, you mean the stems or the leaves on the trees? cause the leaves turn yellow during autumn, and pinkish when during sunsets or something.. The petals always are a different color...

There are. Go look at a coleus. They are a lot of interesting colors Or a polka dot plant with pink spots on green leaves. Did you know that the red petals of a poinsettia are actually red leaves? There are LOTS of 'not green' plants.
