  • Well my sister past away from cancer and she had to do all of that wonderful stuff that cancer patients all have to go through as well!!! Anyway, you are right time would probably be your best bet but since you can't really give that then I would suggest some sort of ingraveable gift such as a jewlery box or necklace. You can have them ingrave something special for her that will uplift and inspire her to keep her head up and fight while having to go through such a horrible thing!!!! I think that would be nice!
  • What does your MIL like? What makes her smile? What gives her joy? I'm afraid I cannot give you an answer about a wonderful present without knowing that. Wonderful presents are personal.
  • When my mother went through chemo, there were certain treats that she found soothing. She loved slushies and smoothies, as well as fruits (especially avacado -- yuck!). You might make her a gift basket of things she enjoys -- gift cards for her favorite treats, some books she would enjoy, some movies to watch. Chemo patients are often tired and nauseated, but they also get lonely and bored! If I were putting together a gift, I would go with a combination of things that would make her feel good, give her something to look at, give her something to do, and make her feel like a normal person.
