  • There's an excellent answer to this on the ParentCenter.com By the age of 2 they should be getting the idea about sniffing, and perhaps blowing. See the article for tips. http://parentcenter.babycenter.com/expert/preschooler/phealth/pcold/70873.html
  • Great answer, Yarnlady. Finding and presenting the information is much less time consuming than having me explain how a toddler learns to blow his nose by learning how to sniff in first.
  • My child has been blowing her nose since she was around 11 months, with help and around 13 months she started to do it on her own. We were just consistant, and over-exagerated our our nose blowing so she would understand what we were doing.
  • My son started blowing his nose around 1 1/2. It really just happened. I had a cold and had been blowing my nose, so one day he grabbed one of his wipes and blew his own nose. It quite surprised me.... :)
