Ticks are a lil fun to get rid of in your home. First id try to narrow down the rooms that have them the worst. Use your crevice tool on your vacuum, and vacuum the corners, and along the wall very well. Id also go round all the cushions and cracks in your furniture. You can find a pyrethrin spray(which has no residual) online at www.doityourselfpestcontrol.com one product is called 565 or P.I. You can also try your local hardware store, usually the flying insect sprays you use to fog the room have a synthetic form of pyrethrin called permethrin which will work as well. Main thing is you can use this to treat the cracks and crevices, and folds in your furniture. It will be ok because if you find one that just has permethrin or pyrethrin it wont have any kind of residual its just a contact insecticide. And youll also want to do an outside inspection and see how they came in, look for tall areas of grass or thick brush. You can use almost any insecticide labeled to applied to plants.

It’s important to be very thorough when treating because ticks can move around a house quite easily. Treat all carpeting and upholstered furniture with Zodiac premise control products. Ticks often hide in crevices and underneath furniture, as well in baseboards. They climb vertically, so it’s important to treat the sides and backs of upholstered furniture. You may also see ticks on walls and other smooth, vertical surfaces. Check these surfaces, and remove ticks in any places you are not able to spray. Pay special attention to closets, storage places, and other areas where ticks can hide under or behind objects.

I am battling the same problem. I just purchased a house that is infested with Ticks. I have had the bug people out 3 times now and I even bombed the house and they are still coming out. I used the Permethrin spray in the yard and removed all the basboards and carpet in the home. I can't move in until they are gone....My animals are on Frontline Plus. Let me know how your remedies work for you, and I will do the same.

Put frontline on as many of your animals as you can afford to. If you don't have any animals borrow one (a cat will do) You get frontline from your vet.It has to be frontline not the stuff you can buy at the store. It's not cheap but it will get rid of fleas and ticks even from the yard. it works quickly and it works 100% even in the yard. Also, Frontline says to reapply every month, but, it works much longer 4-6 months or longer. You will need to vaccum your carpets often to remove dead fleas and larva. I would also wash your throw rugs and bedding. Within a couple of days you should be rid of the little boogers. Good luck!!

Go to the vet and buy a can of flea & tick spray for the house. Then spray everywhere it says on the can.

Ticks are way difficult, I took my dog to a kennel while out of town then battled them for a month after. The key is to treat them every two weeks till they are gone and treat all three areas of concern each time. The pet, the inside and the potty areas /yard. Inside focus on areas the pets sleep, keeping floors as clutter free as possible. Farm and market stores sell permethrin based concentrates for treatment, permethrin is also labeled for on the dog treatments (not cats) this active ingredient. Premixed sprays can also be used aerosols with permethrin mixed in are very convenient for indoor treatment. Follow the label on the product usually treating the total surface is the best way while focusing on their resting areas. Stay away for 3 to 4 hours after if your looking for better air quality after. Apartments are harder but they usually include free professional pest control. The outside can be treated with permethrin also but is usually difficult without professional equipment unless you purchase a hose in sprayer or opt for granules and using a spreader. Bifenthrin based granules are usually labeled for ticks. Always follow the labels on your products and harass your pest control guy at the apartments for the best results. -pest control company owner

Ticks love caps. Turn off the capslock and they'll go away.
