  • Actually, the only Beatle with a strong Liverpudlian accent was George, and that's pretty evident in his singing. ("You'll never know how much I really love you, You'll never know how much I really cuhr...") John was slightly more upper-class than the upper three, and had the accent to prove it. (He spoke with a lower class accent in early Beatles interviews on purpose, and his aunt chided him for it.) Paul McCartney has said that his mother forced him to learn the Queen's English, so he doesn't have much of a Liverpudlian accent either.
  • Lots of people sing with an American accent - maybe the lyrics are clearer that way or something.

Aside - I'm Australian, with a combination of an Australian and Irish accents, but I have a strong Irish accent when I sing.
