You can be pulled over for anything and the only reason they would give you so many tickets is if you were being un-cooperative/rude. Respect the people that pull you over, say sir and ma'am and you'll be far better off.
-
Of course he can. Stop breaking the law, and you'll stop getting pulled over.
-
Yes, he can pull you over you were SEEN by an officer, even if not the one that tagged you. And if you received 11 tickets, you obviously were not being angelic.
-
Yep. The cop that saw you doesn't have to be the one to pull you over. Example: a cop is already busy with a traffic stop, but sees a car FLYING by, obviously going faster than the posted speed limit with no headlights on, not using turn signal to change lanes and blasting extremely loud music. The cop radios another cop, who's sitting several miles ahead on the same road. The second cop pulls the car over and issues the appropriate citations. Another example; A traffic helicopter hovers over a busy interstate and observes a car going 90 MPH in a 60MPH zone. Obviously, the helicopter can't pull the car over, but they CAN radio a nearby police car to perform the traffic stop and issue the tickets.

ok i got 11 tickets, 2 for speeding(90,96) in a 50 mph zone. 3 unsafe lanechanges, 3 changing lanes w/o signal, tailgating, and not folowing pavement marks. oh and no insurance by i got it at home. and i didnt say one word to that scumbag. He was just a plain dickehad. btw im the original poster.

You must having been driving with blinders on, in order to receive that many citations at one time. You were lucky no one was hurt. They are called "catch cars". radioing to another officer ahead. This technique is used often to catch speeders that pass a parked police vehicle, thinking no other police are around and they lower the boom on speeding. this is not entrapment, since both police vehicles are in plain view of the public.

If I'd pulled you over for anything more than 26 over the limit (as you said in your response to your own question), you would have a mandatory court date. In order for you to get to this court date safely, I would put you in cuffs and drive you to jail, so that the nice jailers could escort you to your arraignment.

You just may have set a world record for citations issued in one traffic stop. i will check that out. You must have done something to draw their attention. One officer can stop you, the other can issue the citation or citations in your case.
