I don't understand why on Answerbag when questions have been marked by the moderators as offensive , spam or nonsense that they and all comments are not just deleted from the system? Wouldn't this make sense?

Probably it would make sense, on some cases. The answers do get rejected, and deleted. However, the questions do get deleted from the network, but are still there from the URL links. Answers don't have URL links, and one can access a question very easily as long as they have the URL link.

To add the the above, it's also a way of keeping a record of any points any part of the question created. It's like good bookkeeping. You don't just throw out all the bills and records even if they are canceled or bad. You don't use them daily or others don't have access to them generally but they are still there for reference if a need comes up in the future.
