  • St. Christopher lived about 200 years after the last book of the Bible was probably written. I think we have at least partial manuscripts of every book of the Bible older than 300 AD (approximately when Christopher appears in history).
  • There is no reference to St. Christopher in the Bible, nor to even making prayers to saints.
  • Not so much. He was around a while after the books and letters comprising the Bible were penned.
  • st christopher was martyred during the third century reign of the roman emperor Decius, about 250 yrs after the death of Jesus Christ, so no st christpher could not have been mentioned in the Bible.
  • Few of the saints that have been canonized by the Catholic Church are mentioned in the Bible. This should not be surprising as the vast majority of them lived after the books of the Bible were written. Saint Christopher is one of the extrabilical people.
  • No. I've read the answers that say he was around after the Bible written. But if memory serves St Christopher is the supposed to be the St of Travelers because he helped the Christ child cross a river on the saints shoulders. And after they crossed he asked the Child why he was so heavy and was told that he bore the wieght of the world on his shoulders. So if he was not around until after Bible he certainly was not around to carry Christ across any river.
