This is the third time in a month that my boyfriend has disappeared for the night and I have absolutely no idea where he is. He knows I hate this, as it's the cause of most of our arguments these days. Why does he continue doing this?

Because you're allowing him to disrespect you. I see from other comments that you've told him that you'll leave him, but yet you're still with him. I don't know if you believe he will change, but he wont unless you change yourself. You need to become a strong independent woman who is not having a candle-light vigil every time he disappears. But I highly suggest against playing any mind games back...

He is seeing someone else, and he probably thinks that no matter what happen, you will allow him anyway.

I had a boyfriend that did that. In retrospect i figure the reason was because he wanted to go out and drink with his buddies...party and all that. sometimes he'd be gone for 4 days at a time! At the time I wasnt interested in a party so that was what he did to get away with doing it.

Because he's cheating on you, and you don't have enough self-respect to dump him on the street.

You're young and in love so you just can't see and it's compelling you to ask "Are you kidding me?" . . .

If he's not being honest with you, that's a big warning sign. Maybe he's having emergency medical treatment, maybe he's out doing drugs or drinking without you, maybe he's with someone else. Whatever it is, if he's not telling you, face it, you're NOT that important in his life. Dump him.

Probably cheating or to get away from the stress he has with you. It's usually one or the other :)
