I am going to answer my own question but I am curious to know what else works.... have a couple slices of supreme pizza right before bed works for me. Crazy vivid dreams.

Eating cabbage or brussel sprouts close to bedtime brings my dreams alive in smellovision. They're pretty much vivid and alive for the whole family;)

Glass of water right before climbing in to bed.

The medication that I'm on makes my dreams CRAZY!! I dream stupid, off the wall stuff.

hot dogs make myself and at least one other person i know have vivid nightmares about snakes.

A good strong cheddar cheese. I deliberately eat it, if I fancy having a fantastic dream. It works every time for me. Eat it about an hour before going to bed. Be warned though. You might have a very vivid nightmare and your digestive system may cause you some problems. None of that happens with me though. Have great dreams.

My husband swears his multivitamin makes him have vivid dreams when he takes it before bedtime. We think it has something to do with the Chromium Picolinate, which is known to have an affect on your sleep patterns.
