  • It means that this education cannot be taken away from you. The years the one has put into, the time, efforts, and contributions that one has sacrificed, all payed off.
  • It means that the world will be corrupt for some time to come. universities are the epitome of waste, well rounded education, Masters degrees and Doctrates in non Natural sciences are all signs of a self sufficing system. Vocational colleges are the future of the world because it will soon become apparent that laziness is the natural state of man. The majority of employment is superfluous fluff with no relevance on mankinds progress.

  • Mine was a liberation. I was so changed by the university that I never wanted to leave. It was my first experience of intellectual energy: people working just to find out, just to explain, nothing to do with making money, just understanding, and sharing that understanding. It was like that in Britain until the woman Thatcher decided that the pursuit of intellectual excellence for its own sake was a waste of money. The university is now dead in Britain.
  • It means a document you can impress people with when trying to get a job. In most cases it doesn't really make you more able to work, merely better at getting a job. However, experience taught me that experience is 10 times better than degrees.
