Antidisestablishmentarianism. The only time I've ever SEEN this word is when someone answers the question, "What is the longest word in the English language?" EDIT: For anyone who cannot, or will not, wrap his or her brain around what I wrote above, please note that my answer doesn't mean I believe, or am claiming, antidisestablishmentarianism is the longest word - it means that's the only time I've ever SEEN the word used.

Signage. Is there any context it can be used in where the word "signs" wouldn't do just as well?

That's almost impossible to answer! I remember a dictionary at my High School Library that has thousands of pages with hundreds of thousands of words no one ever uses...

Helpline. The definition of which is something along the lines of "a contact point to an organisation to provide help or service to an individual". Which is usually the exact opposite of what you get when you call one.
