Yes. You're too old for her. If you really like her you can wait. There's nothing wrong with keeping a friendship with this girl but anything more would be crossing the line.

Not really. You're both just kids, really. People mature at different times, and people have different opinions about this. Work out who's sympathetic and who's not, and just keep quiet around the people who are likely to feel uncomfortable about it.

To date, yes. You're a teenager, you've hit puberty no doubt, the ten year old is still very much a child. The older you get, the less difference a 4 year age gap makes. For example when you're 20 and 24 a four year age gap is almost nothing, but at the ages you are it's too much to let you both date. Even if you wait another 4 years before looking again at the relationship in a romantic context it'd be something.

Yes, it matters. A 14 year old guy is a freshmen in high school, right? (9th grade). More important, a 10 year old girl is still a child - in the 5th grade. I should know - I was one myself once. You two are at completely different stages of social, mental, emotional, and sexual development. Yes, age matters in the context of liking her as a girlfriend - it matters a great deal. Anyone who tells you age doesn't matter here is wrong.

10 year old = child 14 year old = young adult/teenager stay away or people will give you a bad reputation. I no that sounds harsh, but its important you learn that. theres plenty of nice 14 year old girls i imagine, and it wouldnt be socially unacceptable to make out with them,look at the benefits dude!
