  • Don't let your family and friends control you. I made that mistake once. I ended up at a Dunken Donuts.
  • If your family cares for you, they will be happy if you are happy.
  • Why are you considering running from a relationship based upon what other people say? What are YOUR criteria for the relationship? What are YOUR needs? Are they being met? Are you being respected? Are you being respectful? Is the relationship emotionally, mentally, and physically healthy? THESE are questions by which you evaluate a relationship, not the bias and bigotry of parties not even in the relationship. Further, I'm baffled by what the age of your kids has to do with whether or not your relationship is "fair" to them.
  • Umm I think the vary last word to your question is also your answer. Do what makes you happy. I don't see why the kids would have a problem with step siblings unless they have been taugh racism. Which I highly doubt. Good luck with it and I wish you all the best.
  • You are entitled to happiness. Do what you feel is right for you and your situation. I'm sure that your children will benefit from you being happy and will understand. They are old enough to realize that you have to go on with your life and will want the best for you.
