Unfortunately, many people will not care until the green way is the cheaper way in the short run, not just the long run.

IYCN was doing it ,this group toured all over India in a battery - operated which runs on vegetable oil REVA car and spread awareness about solar energy ...i mean it was just great that someone took an initiative and worked towards it, i think it will be an impact in people's mind and they will do their best -
Unfortunately you have to show people how they can make money off of something before they will care.

Yeah i agree with squid. I think people will not care unless it will save them a lot of money. Not even their life depending on it will get people to change their ideas because our life already depends on the impact of climate change and people dont even care.
