  • I had this problem for a while. My dog likes to cuddle, "clean" (lick to death), and sleep with his soft toys. My ex-boyfriend's dog is happy to just tear them apart and spread the stuffing all over. The only way I could figure out to stop him destroying the soft toys was to give him something else to destroy. Raw and natural bones (the ones that still have the marrow), bully sticks or any other long lasting chew usually did the trick. I had to put up cute toys where he couldn't get them if I left the room. I couldn't actually STOP him from doing this, but I did find a way to focus his destructive tendencies elsewhere. Also, extra exercise is always a good way to stop a bored dog from becoming destructive.
  • all dogs are different and some dogs will just chew and some will have their toys for years. one of my dogs is the same and im fed up of buying balls for them. even a cricket ball doesnt last one of my dogs long. i dont know how to stop it except just by not giving them toys to play with.
  • Is one dog younger than the other? I helped take care of a friend's dog. She was a puppy when we got her. She would destroy things till she was about 2 years old. Then it stopped.
