    I have a 2002 Grand Am SE- after I change the oil:) I have to turn ingition to on, press and release the reset button in the fuse panel, then press and hold once the change oil light starts blinking- when it chimes and the light goes out, your done.

    ^^dumb answers The light will stay on after you change your oil. Most cars have a series of things you'll have to do to shut the light off. For instance my '04 grand am you have to hold the brake in for 3 seconds and then pump the brake 3 times.
