Help answer this question below.
Condo bylaws are different for every condo community. You'll need to check with your particular association to find out what the rules are for your condo.
I was fined $1,000 for having a roomate, isnt that a bit ridiculious, the fine is in the association bylaws rules. The houses are HUGE, but cant have a ROOMATE? Stupid. However, you can have a significant other, relative with the same name, etc. as long as you dont take any money from them???? How can you get around this???
Merry's answer is correct. Just wanted to add that most condos will allow a roomate on the basis that the roomate meets the specified requirements of a resident (if there are any). It is usually just a simple matter contacting the HOA and letting them know that you intend to take on a roomate and they will probably ask for some personal information on the individual.
