I recently had two moles removed off of my back. But my procedure may have been different because mine were taken off as soon as they were spotted and I didn't have to wait. But mine was like this: I laid down and I was given shots in my back for numbing, these shots really didn't hurt. Then I couldn't see exactly what she did, but she just used something to cut them off of me. It didn't hurt really at all, but it was a little awkward to me just because I was thinking about the fact I was having something sliced off of me. Then she cartarized (sp?) it and put band-aids on and that was it. Oh, I had to be careful when I was showering for a while, though. But it's not very bad at all. No pain.

I had a little thing removed from my head when I was younger. It's real quick in and out, didn't feel a thing. (Because they numbed me, but if anyone asks, yes I am that tough XD) Seriously though, I wouldn't worry, it's quick and easy ^^ I doubt they'll put you under or anything. They just numb you and cut it out, then depending on the size will give you a few stitches.

there is a thing called a dermal punch, i've provided a link to one from a piercing website but it's the same tool. the edge is razor sharp, they push it into the skin and then scalpel under it. i was about 13 when i had a mole removed. they numbed it, dermal punched it and then bandaged it up. it doesn't hurt but it itches later when it's healing, which is always a good thing. http://www.bmeshop.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=8&idproduct=1051
