I think it might upset the minority groups even more becuase it talks about Jesus. The opening lines refer to the ancient myth that Jesus came to England as a Child "And did those feet in ancient times walk upon england's pastures green?" (My school used the tune for our school anthem, so I am not partial to it, however, it would be the choice of the British people. At least I would know it, if it became so...:-)

Yes, I think so. My view of our current national anthem can be here: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/441179 I really think pretty much anything would be better than our current Queen focussed anthem, but if I could choose I'd pick ''Jerusalem''.
