During the day -- open. I have black-out blinds so that during the middle of the day I can still close them and sleep in the dark. (-:

I keep my windows open because my cat likes to look out the window. She loves it.

Unless it's too hot or cold, my windows stay wide open.

I like to have them open, but the thin curtains drawn so passerby cannot gaze upon my magnificent form and burn their eyes out </self-serving claptrap>. Ok, I just do not like being peeked in upon. However, I love to have as much fresh air as possible coming through. I do not like to be in direct sunlight because I do burn like a, well, like someone who burns easily.

Open for light and fresh air. I hate houses with closed doors and windows. It's stuffy and I can't breathe. Except right now we are suffering from humidity and I have to close the windows in the morning to keep the hot air out. I can't breathe!!!!

I use my drapes for decoration only and never have them drawn shut.I get loads of sunlight and can sunbathe indoors if I chose so.

During the summer I keep them closed until the sun passes those windows then I open them as the sun goes by. The front rooms get too hot if I open them in the A.M.
