Well, for shopping on line safely you need to do some research.Use USA companies, or companies with long and good reputation.Call their customer service to see where company is located, dont use overseas companies unless you really thrust the name (Kodak, Toshiba etc. (if you smell accent, just forget it) Dont use your checking account (pay with credit card, you have chance to dispute charges if something goes wrong, or cancell the card) Before entering your cc number, always check you are on secure site (https:) Shopping on ebay is safe too, follow same common sence from above. Check sellers feedback, (dont buy expencive item from seller with small feedbacks or a lot of negatives) If something goes wrong, you can file complaint with ebay and they will do investigation and solve problem.Sign up with Paypal, and use any time you have chance.That way, seller dont see your cc number, and you are protected in case of fraudulant charges too. Internet shopping can be safe if you use common sence. Happy shopping!
