I somehow turned on the hourly beep on my cheap Sharp brand watch. How do I turn it off again?

You really need to be more specific on the type of watch. However often on similar watches holding down the button which shows the alarm time (on my watch which is a different make it is the bottom right one) and then pressing the one above it - you may find that doing this toggles alarm on, hourly beep on, both or no alarms. Worth a try!
