I keep getting phone calls from the number '08000641087' on my mobile. I answered in the first time and all I heard was a single musical note and it cut off. How do I stop myself receiving these calls (which I assume are part of a scam)?

they managed to get hold of me and the guy claimed he was from o2 trying to offer me a deal on a new phone. i listened to the deal and it sounded good but then he wanted my bank details in which i refused to give over the phone. i put it to him that he might not be from o2 and just trying to do me. he even sent a text which seemed like it was genuinely from o2 but i was still unsure.he then got his manager who tried to persuade me but i still stressed that i was not giving my bank details out. i told them to phone me back another day but he started getting pushy saying that he would set it up right now. it all seemed legit but there is too many scams going about and it seems like this was a scam after all i have read.

Hi there! I too am getting phone calls from this number! Annoyingly i was on nites and they kept waking me! I tried ringing it from my house phone and it says it was a prerecorded message from orange, not o2 which is strange even stranger as im with vodafone anyway! does anyone know how to block this>

These are legit calls I contacted O2 and confirmed it. It's not a scam but if you don't like sales calls then register with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) for free and it's then illegal for UK based call centres to call you with unsolicited calls.

I have just started getting these phone calls but i dont answer them as i know it will be a rubbish deal and all that and i am on vodafone anyone know to block ???

if you call the number back, you get a recorded message which gives you the option of removing your number from their database. the number you need to call to do this directly is 0800 013 6671. Having said that, I removed my mobile number about four months ago. They didn't call me for ages but have started calling again. I have re-registered my number and hopefully this will stop the calls for at least another four months.

If it is a legit call from O2 then why do i kep getting the calls...I'm with T-Mobile..if I were you I would ignore the calls. Or ring your network provider and get the number blocked

I just called O2 on this number, told them that I was getting calls but they would hang up when I answered and when I rang back the message said it was from O2. The lady has taken my details down to pass on to the area manager who will take me off the list(If it is infact O2 that is calling me). i keep getting call from this number! so annoyin.. even though i have my fone on silent! ..they even left me a voice msg coughing.. i think that was an accident!! .. why cant they leave me alone!!! i thought there was a stalker! now i know it wasnt!

It's not O2 specifically. It's a company called LBM marketing who work for lots of companies like Sky and Vodaphone. It's a legit company but also annoying and unsolicited so you can block them.
