  • Well, if you're an atheist and people pester you on street corners and things, that can be rather annoying, so I'd say that was too much.
  • Yes, today especially. I feel like I'm at a fricken bible revival or whatever it is the xians call it.
  • Yes, on AB especially. It comes in waves the Jesus questions. It's rather disrespectful to the other baggers.
  • If He is Saviour of mankind then there cannot be enough of Him.
  • people can become brain washed, i believe its a personal relasionship you should have with jesus....no need to advertise it....or try push your belief's on anyone else
  • I dont think that there can be too much necessarily, but I dont appreciate people shoving it down my throat all the time either. Believe what you believe and I'll believe what I believe. I dont have a problem with you telling me what you believe either, but dont expect me to just jump right on the bandwagon with you. And certainly dont get pissy with me when I don't. I don't see you converting to Judism or Buddhism at the drop of a hat either.
  • Yes. It's annoying to have a question when every other word is jesus this, god that, truth this. JUST SHUT UP ALREADY!!! This is (close to) a real conversation I've had before: Me: Hey, how are you? Other: Thank God, I'm fine. God is great! Me: Uh, that's cool. Anything new? Other: Well, god gave me another day so I'm thankful for that. Thank Jesus. Me: Uh, cool. Other: Have you accepted Jesus into your heart yet? Me: Nope, not interested. Other: Well, you can't ignore the truth for long! Praise God! And ON, and ON, and ON! I couldn't even ask him how his fucking coffee was without the mention of God or Jesus or what the fuck ever! Come on people- get a clue. It's annoying when a friend in a new relationship talks about boyfriend billy all the time "Billy and I are doing this" "Billy thinks this" "Billy, Billy Billy", so wouldn't it be annoying to hear Jesus this and God that? THINK ABOUT IT!! It's great to love God and do the religious thing. Just don't eat, sleep, shit it and force it on everyone else!
  • yes, he'll make your head asplode if you think about it too much
  • yes yes yes yes yes .....and yes !
  • Yes When I person takes Jesus into their life to a point where they can not see anything other than what someone allegedly said over 2000 years ago then it is too much. Example: People that say evolution is wrong because it rules out creationalism. This is a stupid argument as it does NOT do that. If they choose not to believe evolution because the theory still has wholes in it then ok, but most dont!
  • Yes. If it causes you to annoy, disrespect, or mistreat others, it is way too much Jesus.
  • not if you keep it to yourself and don't try and shove it down everyone elses throat.
  • Nooooo. but I've heard of too much DEVIL...
  • No, we need as much of His influence as we can possibly get.
  • Yes. If you believe in him, then fine. But from a non-believers persepective, too much Jesus becomes the point where you can't seem to get through life without forcing your belief on others.
  • "Excessive evangelizing. Too many controversial topics. And way too much Jesus. Growing concern that prayers recited at the start of Ohio House sessions are potentially offensive to some members has pushed leaders to insist that all prayers be turned in for review at least three days in advance. Too many guest ministers are invoking the name of Jesus during their prayers, a no-no under House guidelines, which, based on a 1983 U.S. Supreme Court ruling, requires such prayers to be nondenominational, nonsectarian and nonproselytizing. Guidelines also say prayers should avoid contentious subjects." • (2Co 2:15) For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: (2Co 2:16) To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? (2Co 2:17) For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
  • When anyone idolizes a person they also distance themselves from that person, be it Jesus or other. "These things I do, and greater things shall YE do." He said follow me, not worship me. When religion was created around Jesus, the message then started to waver.
  • Any obsession is unhealthy. I am a Christian. I go to worship services on Sunday and live the commandments the best I can throughout the week. However, I read books besides just the Scriptures. I have gainful employment not connected to my religion. I listen to music (as long as it's not laden with profanity). I watch secular films. I don't have to mention Jesus or Deity in all of my conversations. Create balance in your life.
  • No, I do not think that. After all, the title of this particular category in AB is Jesus Christ. It stands to reason that the questions asked here would be about Him. Judging from some of the answers, perhaps the ones complaining should go where questions about Jesus Christ aren't being asked perhaps auto mechanics or home improvement.
  • There doesn't seem to be for lotsa folks! ;-)
  • Never!
  • a lot of people would say no.
  • Hardly, but there can be a thing as too much> insert name here<.
  • Yes when people dont stop trying to get you babtized again when you have already let Jesus into your heart.
  • I'm a bit baffled that some of the answerers here are complaining about all of the Jesus question in the Jesus section. Seeing that the title of this portion of Answer Bag is "JESUS CHRIST" I would say that you should expect Jesus Christ to be talked about in here and no, there can never be too much Jesus.
  • LoL....naw. Its what it is all about. Its very enriching. But Jesus is God...GOD... Cant have too much GOD.
  • In the individual Christian, possibly not. In the mouth of some Christians. Most definitely. Remember how everyone is saying "its a relationship" these days ? Dont be a 'kiss and tell'er.
