Help answer this question below.

We have a 1986 chevy s10 and we bought a new fuel pump for it but for some reason it will not start till you dump gas in the TBI then it will run. it is getting pressure to the carb. but for some reason it will not stay running. any ideas? it has a 2.8 L

    the return valve has the problem

    the problem may be due to installation error or product error or some air leakage into the system
