I agree, but I almost feel as if I don't have to respect them as much, becuase they didn't spend time to..put an apostrophe here, or a comma there.

Agree :-) Grammer is important, It makes the statement easier to read, however as you say, if it gets its point across its a valid statement. Good question :-)

I think that if someone has somethin to say an they really dont no how to use the proper sin tax or puctuation or spelling and stuff they should just go a head and type there question or answer anyhow. It mite be intresting.

Agree. This includes those with cultural difference, learning disabilities, etc. that would be otherwise excluded or penalized.

I agree in theory, but that "as long as" in the sentence is a big qualifier. Conforming to the grammar expected by your listener makes your words easier to understand. Different groups of people speak, effectively, different dialects. So a sentence which is in accordance with the speech patterns of your peers (effectively, conforms to *their* grammar) may be harder from someone with a different background to absorb. The grammar taught in schools is a mainstream grammar which should be understandable to all speakers of the language. It is useful to be able to speak and understand this, even if you don't use it with your close friends.
