  • Were you a heavy drinker of coffee previously? Have you swtiched to decaf? The body does build up a tolerance to caffine and in fact, regular coffee drinkers suffer from a mild form of addiction (caffine addition). It could be that you were drinking some other beverage that contained more caffine than coffee (black tea, etc.,) and that the coffee did not give you the caffine boost that it did previously.
