  • you can use one of those sugar scrubs or any of those skin scrubs while in the shower and that will really get it off. Or you can use a washcloth to scrub it.
  • I'm afraid it's too late. The skin is dead, you need to let it peel. You can soothe the pain of the process, though by using an ultra-healing lotion or fresh Aloe-Vera (a lot of the gels sold in stores have so much alcohol in them it actually dries the skin out more!!) Whatever you do, DON"T SCRUB IT. You don't want to over-peel it where the skin underneath isn't quite ready for the real world.
  • Moisturize. You need to get fluid back into your skin. Aloe works really well. I now keep my aloe gel in the refrigerator for instant comfort when I have stayed out too long. Are you still sunburned? If so, Noxema (the facial cleanser) will help to cool it. I remember when I was a child and I got a sunburn, my mother would soak cotton balls in vinegar and it would take the sting of the burn away too.
