They live about 3-6 years. Ours lived about 3-4 years. But they were used for breeding and not as pets.

tghe average guinea pig lives 5 to eight years if u take care of them but if you use them for breeding they will die 1 to 2 years sooner. don't over breed your pig i got one of my pigs from a breeder and she died of pregnacy toxemia :(

hello,ive had many many cavies( the real name for guinea pigs),people state anywheres from 5 to 7 yrsanywgeresfrom 5 to 7 years,non of my many cavies ever lived for more than 3 and a half years.i really think that maybe one or two live longer than that.guinea pigs are very fragile animals and are prone to bladder stones.its a sin,cause i really find these little guys very friendly and fun to own.
