  • My cat plays fetch...
  • Yeah one of my dogs can roll over, play dead, beg, shake hands, etc.
  • My grandfather is hilarious. He trains his dogs to do funny stuff. He had this Dachshund*spelling?*, and he would tell him," Lick my elbow." and the dog would. He also taught the dog to "read". He'd hold a newspaper open in front of the dog and tell him to read, and the dog would start growling and carrying on like he was reading the newspaper.
  • I have a chiapooh that I trained to roll over, sit, wave bye bye to mommy. I say sit pretty & he sits on his butt with his paws down. When I say is mommy's baby sick he sneezes. If I hold my fingers like a gun & say pow pow he rolls over & plays dead. If I say what do we do in case of a fire pepper he gets on the floor & crawls across the floor on his belly. He will also sit on command if he's walking behind me & I say sit, he pops his lil butt down instantly. He's very smart & lots of fun to play with, he also likes to play hide & seek when I'm making the bed he'll get on the bed when I flip the sheet up & it lays on him he'll lay real still until I say wheres mommys baby, where did he go then he pops his lil head out of the sheet.
  • Nelson could "high five" and our new dog is learning it.
  • i didnt train my puppy to do this but each morning we put away his bed blanket & if he sees the cupboard open any time he will go & take out his blanket then go back & get my older dogs blanket too.
  • Yes..my daughter trained our "Chowyote" (part Chow, part coyote) to "sleep", play dead, beg, "watch", sneak, shake, jump through a hoop, sit, and she actually knows left and right, to name a few. She will also, get in her chair (she has her own recliner), go to her room, leave the kitchen, on command and if we are gone for any length of time we have her search the house when we get back..she will wait for one of us to say "search" and she will go look in all the closets, under the beds. behind the shower curtain..etc. She is one smart dog and we love her dearly.
  • My dog tells me when she is hungry, (she leads me to her bowl). She also tells me when she needs to go out, (she will jump up by my face, and if I don't listen, she keeps getting closer and closer, until our noses are touching). My daughter has taught her to shake hands and ask for a bite of food. My son taught her to go sit in her "place", (which is at the end of the couch). If she is being mean, like barking at a friend who has come over, my son says "get in your place" and she immediately gets in her place.
  • one of mine "dies" when I hold my hand like a gun and say bang, and She gives hugs. I have another one that "holds hands", she puts your fingers in her mouth without biting down and walks all proud where ever you want to go. All 3 of them know "GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN" (that is a must).
