Two of my favorites are a full moon on snow that is sparkling like diamonds. The snow looks blue. Also, a mysterious foggy night, where you can only see a short distance (a full moon can also make it more beautiful).

Yes, many. The most memorable was my first mid summer in Eagle Plains, Yukon Teritorries, in the Canadian Arctic. The sun just goes around in circles and does not set. The plants grow so fast you can actually watch them grow, and every few hours, a new flower manages to sprout a half inch above the rest, blooms, and the whole plains changes colour in a swooping wave. In Canada's Arctic, we have a joke expression about the seasons, they are called, "June, July, August, and Winter." ... for eight months of the year you can drive on the frozen river, but the short summers are absolutely amazing.
