Any advice for a date i'm going on that may or may not be a romantic date? i don't know, and i'm not interested in more than a friendly dinner.

Every new acquaintance is a potential for information. Everyone has some one piece of information they can share with you that will be of help to you, sometime in your life. The trick is to discover what that information is. The worst experience may still teach you something...if only not to rely upon that source for future dates. So ask qustions, find out hobbies, passions, travel experience, educational experiences. You will have fun if you look upon this as a learning experience. And, who knows, it may turn into something more meaningful. But look for that kernel of information that will really help you. Good luck.

I think it's probably a good idea to find out whether or not it's a romantic date BEFORE the date actually starts. Silly.
