No, this is an OK military question, I guess..... Well, here's my answer: When we stop selling them our old planes and stop buying from them, they'll go bankrupt. Right now they're currently only in a very very very poor state economically :). Also, what you asked regarded the nuclear program already happened a few months ago. Russia halted construction of the nuclear reactor until Iran pays its multi billion dollar debt to Russia.

No - Iran has alot of support from Russia and the Middle East who don't take kindly to U.S. interference and butting in (as they perceive it).

Yes. But Iran isn't after nuclear weapons, they just want nuclear power.

I'm not sure the US alone could put Iran into financial straits. It's possible. I'm also not sure if we're allowed to have nuclear weapons that it's our place to prevent other countries from developing them. I'm not saying I hope Iran gets them or that they don't pose a threat. I just wonder at the logic behind us being allowed to do anything we want and preventing other countries from doing the same.
