I want to add my car stereo to my bbq island I am building but I dont know how to power it. I heard there are power inverters but I could use some help.

You need a 12V battery and a plug in battery charger...my best friend did his twice...once with the power invertor but the stero kept blowing fuses so he used a car battery and a charger, and it has worked ever since...;)

You need 12v power...I've used a computer power supply to power a car stereo for testing purposes but haven't tried this as a long-term solution. Might work for you.

you could also buy a power inverter that changes your household power to 12volts plug it into the wall and wire your cd player to the inverter.id go to a camping store or a electronics store.
