I smoked one hit of marijuana 5 days ago, may have drug test tomorrow. I weigh145 lbs and last smoked 8 months ago. I have been drinking tons of water and coffee since and will do so before the test. Will I test positive for marijuana?

Probably not. If it really was a single use, then it's typically out of your system in 3-6 days.

as said above..probably not. it only stores in fat cells with chronic use. Still, its a good idea to continue drinking plenty of water to flush your system to stay on the safe side!

if it was 5 days ago it will not show in 28 days but remeber it can still be found in your hair. they usually don't test the hair folicle, it takes time bud , never addmit anything nothing get a union rep, or get lawyer if your job is on the line. don't let them tell you we've got the proof right hear in the piss jar. If they attempt to tell you that you have nothing to worry about, you request in writing or be advised through your union rep, there are ways to take care of this with a hot sample you have to know your rights and how to get resonable access to that imformation.

i know this thread is mad old but i did the same exact thing. took one small bubbler hit of some grapefruit on tuesday and have to get a drug test on monday. i drank mad water the first 2 days and took a clear flush liquid drink earlier today and just took a home drug test and it came up negative so well see wat happens monday. but im confident you were fine and i think i will be too one love
