Has anyone read the book 'THE ROAD'? It's an Oprah Book Club book and I was wondering if its as good as she says. When I'm done with another book I'm reading I want to buy it - but don't want to be disappointed...

I bought the book and I found it extremely difficult to read, near impossible. Oprah said herself, u'll either love it or hate in. In my case I hate it and it was a waste of money. (Although in saying all the, I just bought Middlesex and I havent a clue if thats going to be good)

I read it recently, and though it's not exactly a feel good book I found it very gripping. I would recommend reading it.
