  • Don't worry, this happened with my cat as well, and he's fine now. The vet said some cats don't have much feeling in their tails, and that's why they attack it, it's like a toy to them. If you go to your nearby pet store, you can buy a lotion called "Bitter Orange" or "Bitter Apple", either kind works. This stuff tastes AWFUL to cats, so apply generously to your cats' tail a few times a day, and after a couple mouthfuls of that, your cat will quit biting his tail!

  • Today I heard my cat yelping, and ran into the living room to see he had, in fact, finally caught his tail. With one of his claws. Since dislodging the nail, he has yet to attempt the chase again. It's very strange, because he didn't start doing this until he hit about 11 years of age.
  • My cat attackes hsi tail and screams at it on a daily basis. Today he threw up. Does that sound normal to you? I dont know what is going on
