  • I would not say scary but it did make me look over my shoulder. Blair Witch. I could not go in the woods and walk around with out feeling uneasy. stupid uh lol
  • I don't get nightnares but the movie "Wait Until Dark" made me nearly jump into the next row in a movie theater.
  • I was a strong strapping 18 year-old blue collar worker when the Exorcist came out in the early 70's. I thought I wasn't afraid of anything. But I was afraid walking up the alley to my car after the movie even though I was with 3 buddies. Y0u have to understand. In 1973 there had never been a movie like that made yet.
  • The scariest movie I've seen to date is The Exorcist. I only get weirded out about it when I watch it late at night, by myself with the lights out. Why?... Evil vs. Good, God vs. The Devil, Demons vs. Angels, Hell vs. Heaven, very scary battles.
  • Id say blair witch but up to date Dead Silence spooks me to no end.
  • Saw, it didn't scare me because of the gore or anything like that, it scared me because it got me thinking: "hmmmm....theres someone out there who is twisted enough to do that to someone, it could happen" it freaked me out a little. i watched saw 3 twice in the cinema when it came out though, its awesome!!
  • Psycho by albert hitchcok i wasnt able to shower for days lol. and IT that crazy clown can scare my pants off any day.
  • I'm generally not scared by horror movies, or gore, but there was one film which really got to me: The Hills Have Eyes II. The graphic detail of the first few minutes is enough to get anyone to leave the room, but after I finished watching it, I would not go outside in the dark alone. Thankyou, Wes Craven, for making this movie!
  • I hate to say this, but any movie with zombies in it. (Dawn of the Dead, Day of the dead, children shouldn't play with dead things, wicked little things) Despite the knowledge that they are not "real" doesn't help. I couldn't sleep for days after a few of these movies, and even thought they were trying to get in my house for a while. I still have a problem at night, knowing they could "get" me if I open the door. I'm not quite what it is for sure that makes me feel this way, but I do.
  • Only 2 movies, in my life, ever gave me nightmares ... "House of Dark Shadows", (based on the creepy t.v. soap opera), and "Bonnie and Clyde"! One was a little scary, (at the time), and the other had the 1st major "bloody" shoot out on camera, that I had seen.
  • The one I'll never forget is Red Asphalt..scary because of its reality
  • Movies don't scare me anymore (unfortunately) but when I was a kid I had pretty messed up nightmares after watching The Exorcist. I had a bad dream after watching Event Horizon but it wasn't nearly as bad. I wouldn't say that movie scared me either, but it was thought provoking so I guess my subconscious had some weird ideas
  • It was The Exorcist for me too. It hasn't been topped yet in my opinion. After seeing it many years ago, no other film has scared me. The original theatrical version (not the one with the extra footage) was just brilliant, it gently pushed the viewers suspension of disbelief a little at a time. In the 'Version you have never seen" with the extra footage; though it's a cool scene, the spider walk is way too early in the film and kills the suspension of disbelief at that point leaving the rest of the film not as scary.
  • Well, movies that are just not plausible or realistic (zombies, devils, aliens, etc) do not scare me. Movies about events, especially murders, that could happen do..... When I was a kid, I saw "The Big Sleep". The movie opens with some friends keeping company in another friends apartment. He is in bed ill, and they are passing time away in the living room. When they go to check on him, he has been murdered. The killer came through a secret door in the closet. Scared me so much, I used to make my sister sleep on top of me (so she would get the knife instead of me. And she did it, because she was more afraid of me than the movie. LOL). "Pyscho" gave me more than one sleepless night. Silence of the Lambs really didn't scare me because the plot was not believable.... (Sending a very young, just graduated from FBI school, across the country alone to catch a serial killer was just not plausible). When I watched The Shining, all I could think of was how terrible Shelly Duvall's hair looked... I NEVER watch any movies about snakes or spiders, because they creep me out.
