  • When there's a serious answer looking for facts, rather than diversed opinions. I search the topic up, and wikipedia seems to always be there. The problem is that wikipedia isn't always 100% correct in it's source. For the most part, it has helped me answer several questions.
  • Its in my toolbox, yes. I try not to use it as much though because of the inaccuracy that has been reported.
  • Most of the time, no. I think it's too canned an answer and very often wrong or at least inaccurate.
  • Well i use wikipedia all the time and it has helped me many diffrent ways by teaching me facts and useful info but now i hear (and i must be the last person to know)that it isnt as accurate as i thought or gave credit to. who would have known? : 0
  • Absolutely. It is no worse than any other source of information. You just have to use it with the caveat "don't believe everything you read". It has helped me in more ways than I can count.
  • Yes, I use it as Kyralou so nicely stated "in my toolbox." I usually check it against other references to insure accuracy.
  • No, I assum that if people are posting something on a site like this, they'r lookng for a variety of answers a oppose to something found on the net. So, I just kinda plough my way trough questions and give an honest answer.
  • I only use Wikipedia to look up random things out of interest. I don't use it for answerbag. Not because of the usual reason, the supposed inaccuracy, but because I just don't feel like looking it up. One thing that I often say before an answer, "I don't know exactly how to answer this and I'm not looking it up, but I'll try anyway."
  • I don't deliberately use Wikipedia at all. But such a high percentage of the time when I type some random term into Google to find out something about it, Wikipedia is one of the top choices, so I take it.
  • I've never used it, I just go to google. I'll have to check it out, but from what I've read here, it's unreliable.
