  • You probably have a problem with the distributor. Maybe a bad plug wire.
  • From what you describe it could be a loose or bad spark plug wire, that would be the first thing I would check, then possibly replace the distributor and the plug wires or even put a new set of spark plugs in. Beyond that the timing chain or belt might be the next thing to look at.
  • Have the same fakin problem don't,found on a web site about AUDI, and found out that on V6 regular spark plug's doesn't work to much,and you need sperk plug's with iridium that suport's higher temperature.Had the same problem on a 2000 camaro 3.8L, replaced the spark plug's wires worked for 3 week's then started again...looking for that damed spark plug's...1 gear run's perfect if hold till 5000rpm, second gear so so, and 3 gear start's losfire...if not hold till 5000rpm in first gear second is dead...:)
