  • Harry Potter I thought it would be a piece of crap but it is actually a brilliant book (series!) as long as you accept it is a childrens book and can ignore the MANY errors and contradictions in it.
  • The book the Art of the Steal by Frank Abagnale totally changed my mind about fraud - I thought fraud was a crime commited by corporate executives, but as he explains fraud intertwines it's way into almost every facet of today's society - great read if you are interested in crime at all.
  • I have read a few books, mostly about health that have changed my life. I have changed diet and what I eat. Most of them were written by Elson M. Haas
  • The book Wheels of Fire, by Mercedes Lackey and Mark Shepherd. It is an urban fantasy book, and it tells the tale of a boy, who ended up in the hands of a cult. It was, in reality, one of the most brutal stories I have read. Not because it was one of her best written books (it wasn't) or because of a great plot (it wasn't the best), but because it told graphically, how things can be in a cult. Even today. And that, in itself, was scary. I will never do as so many do, and look at cults as 'a bunch of crazy lunatics'. Even lunatics hurt people.
