  • They offer them bikes? Candy? White Van? What?
  • I also feel confused. What?
  • D.A.R.E. gave me a free t-shirt and some bar erasers. It also taught me that I knew enough about drugs in 4th grade already. Everyone already knows drugs are illegal. And how to "say no." I didn't need 8 different variations on how to say no, or a week long program driving the same concept into my brain. I suppose kids, like most people, enjoy freebies, because that's how they appealed to us. I don't do drugs, but I do not give D.A.R.E. any credit. It's a waste of time and money that could be better spent elsewhere. I'm not lying when I say nearly 1/2 the kids I know do drugs (AND they did the D.A.R.E program) and quite frankly, I haven't a problem with anyone who does do them; that's their business.
