I am a Software Engineer and I like it...

i'm an elementary school art teacher. i alternate between loving and hating my job - the hating part usually occurs when we're having to give yet another state-mandated test or filling out mountains of paperwork due to bureaucracy.

I am a substitute teacher, and I love it. typical class period: 1. Place handouts in a pile 2. Yell "Everybody take one of these and do it!" 3. Log onto the computer using the logon of a social studies teacher at a school I worked at once 4. Answerbag

I am a project manager in technical support and customer care for a major cell phone company. It has its good days and bad.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Project manager. I Find/get assigned problems, fix'em and make sure they stay fixed. The fixing part is tough to love but once they are fixed it is pretty satisfying.

I work as a nurse and yes years ago i really enjoyed doing things for people and caring, but as i have got older i find people are to quick to point out that relative A isnt having enough drinks or isnt being fed or mum fell again..........its a hard enough job emotionally and physically caring for people of all ages without people slating the nhs...if they dont like the care given in such strenuous working conditions i tell them ok u look after your relative!!!

I review loan applications, review financial statements & audits. I review and approve budgets. I make visits to sewer and water treatment sites and low income housing projects as well as community centers, health clinics and fire stations. I monitor construction of projects funded by my agency. I'm sure there's more, but those are the bigger things.

I sit with people who are dying and listen their stories and try to be a comfort to them. We laugh..We cry. Sometimes they just don't want to talk at all and just want a hand to hold.

I work at a private college. I do a little bit of everything, from dealing with student schedules and attendance to filing and data entry.

I'm a Lead Industrial Engineer for retail solutions. I lead a team of Drafting Engineers and Prototype Engineers to create working solutions based off of the Industrial Designer's concepts and the client's expectations.

I am a account executive at a Ad Agency. I sell advertising for 2 of our different publications. I have worked there for 6 years.

I am a kitchen supervisor for Applebee's, which means I am responsible for everything the cooks and prep people are unable to do, and everything the management is unable or unwilling to do.

Software developer - mostly website modifications and additions (ASP 2.0, VB 2005), some desktop VB, some Access (blech). There's a good variety of tasks, I get to talk to the users and develop things from the ground up. My boss isn't a micromanager, yay.

Hello Norman! I am a computer operator: I am responsible for monitoring production job schedules, manipulating schedules when required, backups of hundreds of server, restores when required, management of backup media movement (to and from off-site storage facilities), and general support of the data center.

Very briefly Im a student researcher. A little less brief: Im a masters student researching for my profs and a consultant for another research project at another university.

Im an advertising copywriter - I sit down with the strategy planners to determine the creative direction of our next campaign. Then having nailed the direction, my art director and I will conceptualise the TV, radio, print and ambient ads, or whatever is required - he will be solely in charge of the art work, I, in charge of the copy. We supervise the production of the visuals. Then we sell the work. If the client buys the idea, we finetune our visuals, make the necessary changes, re-present to their satisfaction, finetune further to finished artwork stage and then supervise/send it off for production.

I make sure that 29 different countries get theatrical trailers of our movies subtitlted (or dubbed) in their local language to be posted on their web sites. I also maintain all URLs for our international theatrical sites.

I work in an Accounts Payable department, and so I mainly file invoices into a computer, and image them (which consists of cleaning [unstapling/paperclipping], making copies, writing quality control sheets, and sending them to be copied as a whole for the companies records).

I do everything the General Manager doesn't want to do. If I have any time left, I do things to help out others in my office.

sports play by play, produce sports and news stories, run video camera for local events, write sports for news paper, have two radio shows; one sports, one deejay. scholarship for sports media full time student, student worker for local tv station also shoot and edit video for instructional videos at local refinery-start later this month, also summertime stay at home father.

I love the independence to make my own schedule and rearrange my clients when I have personal business to attend.

As a salesmen, love all the driving. hate all the people who love driving slow in the fast lane. Why can they not move over to the vacant lane that they should be in. Stay left pass right, alternatively in America stay right pass left.

I love my job big time as i am the boss so i do what i want. lol

Love: I can set my own hours, and my boss is my friend, I get all vacations that students do. Hate: It doesn't pay much, it cuts into my free time after school, it's repetitive, and it's thankless.

I love to listen to peoples stories about their lives. The elderly have great stories!

I work in the computer department in the database division. I HATE the amount of paperwork I need to create or complete each month.

love:taking care of sick people who really need my help and appreciate a good nurse hate:people that pretend to be sick just to get a work excuse or drugs and then DON'T appreciate a good nurse.

mortgage banker (one of the GOOD ONES!) I like helping people understand what they are getting themselves into and how to get out of debt. It is nice to show people what they are doing to themselves by using credit and how much things they buy on credit really changes their lives... 95% of people do not realize that they should get out of debt and pay off their house early or even that they can do that and HOW TO DO IT... . Do not tell me about tax breaks... I will be glad to personally give you 1 and a half times what the government give you... take me up on it... you give me a dollar and I give you back 45 cents... that is better than you giving the bank a dollar and the government giving you back 30 cents as a tax break... . But I do like what I do and I still have plenty of business all through referrals... I am sorry for the way some mortgage people took advantage of people over the last 5 years and HOPE THAT YOU ARE NOT ONE OF THE UNLUCKY ones that followed blindly... I have friends that I did not do loans for because I thought they were doing the wrong thing. many have come back to me for help now and I can not help them. . I hope I have made you think about your finances ... just a little.

I am a stock person/cooler person at a corner market. I wouldn't say I love it, but it's a lot better than most of the other jobs I could have gotten. Most of my other options involved "cleaning up" after dogs and cats at the groomers.
