I guess that we are wiping off extra grime every time we use them. Also, things like dead skin could gather on the towels. It's common courtesy to be hygenic with bath towels

We're not 100% clean when we use them, and after a while the grime and sweat, no matter how little, accumulates on the towel and eventually gets it dirty.

Well i washed my towl i dry myself with after a shower recently because it was starting to smell from farts..haha. I think if you hung anything up where a bath towl is then eventually it would get dirty from dust, people mooving, toilet, buts and stuff. We also think that it is important to keep our bath towls clean because we wipe our clean bodies on them so is it not important that they are clean too?

After using them a couple of times, they'll get a humid smell that won't go away until you wash them.

Your not as clean as you think. Try an experiment. Don't wash them for about six weeks. Come back and tell us.
