Well, there's me for starters, my mum, my little sister, and a few friends of the family. I think in total it comes to something like... 6 or 7.

One real one, and a bunch of fakes who eat chicken or eggs or fish.

Two vegans, 2 lacto vegetarians, about 5 lacto-ovo vegetarians including myself. Actually, one of the vegans eats honey, so the honey vegan/vegetarian debate come in. I know some people that will go as far as eating fish, but I don't consider that to be vegetarian.

Just a step farther, I know lots of vegans and vegetarians. I don't think I could count.

I am lacto ovo vegetarian. I do not know many vegetarians personally, just maybe 2 or 3, but I encounter many here and there. Yesterday I talked to a vegetarian Buddhist from Thailand in a shop.

My best friend is a wanna-be vegetarian I think. She will sneak a taste of red meat if it looks good. I think she mostly eliminates pork, red meat, shell fish, and chicken. She will drink milk, and eat eggs and cheese. I dont know if thats truly being a vegetarian. She's the only one I know.

Hundreds. I attend a Chinese Pure Land Buddhist monastary and know a lot of people that frequent there eventually gave up meat mainly on compassionate grounds. Some did it due to ill health whilst they were on a meat diet and were forced by their own ailments to eat a vegetarian diet. All the foods served at the monastary for all visitors are entirely vegetarians cuisines as well.

I have 2 good friends that are vegetarians and had them over a couple of times for Thanksgiving. One time I caught her husband in my laundry room....chewing on a turkey leg. He begged me not to tell her. I just laughed.

like two or three, i don't consider myself a vegetarian, i'll eat meat in like lasagne every now and again but for the most part i just don't like dead animal :P
