Someone should. The other day I went to a restaurant. There was a card in the menu that said "chefs specials" [sic]. I took out my red pen and added in the apostrophe after debating with my mother whether it should be "chef's specials" or "chefs' specials." We eventually decided that the restaurant was small enough that probably only one chef thought of the specials.
