YES - I took swimming lessons when I was a child - I just don't like to swim
-
Yes. I love swimming. I suppose my dad started teaching me, he had to because I used to jump straight in the pool regardless of whether I could stay afloat or not. When I was four I started more formal lessons with an instructor at a local pool, so he officially taught me how to swim.
-
Yes I can swim. I don't remember who taught me. I just always remember knowing how.

I loved playing in the bathtub so much that my mom took me to a municpal pool for lessons at the age of 6. I loved it!!! Later I taught swimming in high school and to little kids. I still love swimming. There is a swimming pond next door at my SIL and we swim during the summer.
-
Yes. I love to swim and love the water. Both my wife and I are PADI rescue certified scuba divers. That's really ironic considering I didn't even learn to swim until I was ten or eleven years old. I was TERRIFIED of the water as a child and FINALLY learned to swim through private swimming lessons.
-
waaahhhh... I can't swim. The little I do know is just what friends have taught me. I wouldn't say I know enough to call it "swimming"

Yes. I personally think it should be a requirement in all schools. To teach the kids to swim. There are way too many people that don't know how to swim. Not knowing how to swim is a dangerous weakness.

I had swimming lessons when I was about 8-10 years old, each summer at a big pool at the Air Force base where my dad worked. I don't swim much anymore, but it's great fun when you're young and a safety must for all kids.
