  • Another bad habit I picked up from my father. Him and his mother used to brag about how quickly they finished their meals. That is Frickin retarded to do. So sadly I eat my food rather fast but I don't mean to be a chow hound.
  • it depends on how many people need me at once. If I eat alone I eat slowly and often do something else like read or sudoku or a crossword puzzle. However, most of the time I am in constant demand so a lot of my meals get wolfed down and often eaten cold in small bites when I have a moment.
  • It depends on what I am eating and which of my weird rituals they involve. Sandwiches, for example, take me a long time to eat. I start by going around the edges and biting off all the crust, chewing that, then eating around the edges of the sandwich in a circular motion. I have to chew bread 28 times before I swallow it. The average sandwich takes me about 10 minutes to eat. With other things, like donuts, it's game on. I can hoover them in under a minute. Certain fruits I have no problem with eating quickly. Salads are fine, although I do work through salads by eating whichever ingredient comes first, alphabetically, and so on and so forth. If I am in a hurry, I will eat a little faster than usual, but if time constraints meant I had to chew less than 28 times, I would just skip the food and go.

  • I think I'm a really quick eater...but this theory seems disproven by the fact I'm always last to finish my meal. If I go to a restaurant I usually end up leaving before I've finished, or I just get bored half way through and give up. I think I must have speeded up though...not so long ago I used to order dessert instead of a main meal, and by the time everyone else was done with their starter, main meal and dessert I'd just be finished.

  • when i'm feeling thankful i eat slow at 1st then when the conversation kicks up if i'm with others i am 1/2 aware i'm eating and depending on the convo i slow down or speed up lol. its like i'm connected to the event not just the earth, kind of like a maze..befcause they have a neat flow but they have to go with the curves creating something interesting ..lol..ok then moving on lol... ... i'm hungry right now and plan to eat a lot, and slowly, so its just a big feast.on a date, its massively slow.. or something small to eat inbetween convo..if i'm not comfortable with him in the past i ordered salad, and if i'm comfy he can see my true love of eatin side.generally i'm a slow eater. when my dad and i eat it brings out hte fact taht we act similiar and he eats according to what hes trying to get across ina sense and his personality and i'm htinking maybe we all do, which is kind of abrupt, and when were on the same wave length we eat quick..cuz thats how he eats.. i've noticed overtime though that i've observed this and backed away from that particular daddy daugther eating habit and slowed down w/ my eating..which is probalby a good example for him because its better for your health i here, anyways. o boy its ironic how i was thinking of loosing a bit of weight and here i am going on about foodd dreaming of spegetti that i'm gonna eat in a while. i need a miracle w/ food moderation lol ..not to squash the answer..back to my initial answer .. generalized slow eater w/ some variation...~> datdada..added sound affect to the answer in honor of the question.   • I'm a really fast eater which is bad for digestion since I don't chew enough. It comes from working as a manater at a Japanese restaurant where the meal break was 30 minutes but I had to stay on watch while eating. I also picked up the coffee habit there - 10 - 15 cups a day.
